HB Skin Spa uses the Nouveau Contour Intelligent equipment to perform all permanent makeup and micropigmentation procedures.
Permanent cosmetics, micropigmentation or permanent makeup, is the revolutionary method of depositing hypo-allergic mineral pigments into the dermal layer of the skin. It is a very precise process and is in most cases irreversible. It is therefore important that one should apply permanent cosmetics with the best equipment available.
The Intelligent provides the practitioner with state-of-the-art computerized technology. It is equipped and controlled by an Intel microprocessor “chip”. The Intelligent’s central processing unit offerst the most advanced features, which allow for the selection of pre-programmed settings for various procedures, i.e. eyebrow, eyeliner, lip color and medical procedures.
The Intelligent was designed to assist the practitioner, in distinguishing between the varying areas of application, i.e. eyes, lips, eyebrows and medical. Software installed in the central processing unit, the operating system of the Intelligent, consistently calculates the best needle frequency (speed) needed to achieve optimal pigment retention. Skin structure varies according to the location, because the structure and tolerance of the skin is different for each area of application.
For example: For areola pigmentation, the skin structure is very dense compared to that of an eye lid, which is very thin and supple. When set on “Medical” the Intelligent will provide a more efficient way to deposit pigment in those areas, by automatically increasing the power to the handpiece and by adjusting the needle frequency. In a similar manner, when the practitioner is working on an eyeliner procedure, the control unit of the Intelligent can be set to “Eyes”, which slows down the power to the handpiece and adjusting of needle frequency, therefore depositing pigment more gently.
The Intelligent has more power than any other rotary device. The needle frequency can be adjusted from 50 to 180 punctures per second. This allows the practitioner more flexibility in needle groupings. With the increased power, the practitioner is able to perform every type of cosmetic and medical procedure available.
The Intelligent has a LCD read out, which displays accurate needle frequency, which program you are working on and the needle frequency the Intelligent recommends for the procedure. A timer within the Intelligent, keeps track of actual procedure time and is displayed on the LCD.

Safety Needle
Tests have proven that the risk of cross contamination with traditional machines due to possible backflow of liquids and circulation of contaminated air within the hand piece is prevalent. For the safety of both the technician and the client, the Nouveau Contour system works unlike other systems: The needle and the needle “tube” are integrated in one disposable cartridge system. Internal diaphragms halt and prevent fluid and airborne contaminants from entering the hand piece, which is therefore completely independent of the disposable cartridge. The system is therefore void of any possibility of cross contamination.
International governmental agencies have become extremely concerned with the threat of fluid cross-contamination to the hand piece. The Nouveau Contour patented, Safety needle system addresses these concerns (US-Pat. #6,505,530 and #6,345,553). Verifiably, traditional machines are subject to airborne and fluid cross-contamination.
Tests have proven that the risk of cross contamination with traditional machines due to possible backflow of liquids and circulation of contaminated air within the hand piece is prevalent. For the safety of both the technician and the client, the Nouveau Contour system works unlike other systems: The needle and the needle “tube” are integrated in one disposable cartridge system. Internal diaphragms halt and prevent fluid and airborne contaminants from entering the hand piece, which is therefore completely independent of the disposable cartridge. The system is therefore void of any possibility of cross contamination.
Nouveau Contour realizes that it is imperative that the disposable tube/needle cartridges be sterilized. Each cartridge is packed separately in a class 100.000 clean room and sterilized using EO gas to prevent disease transmission. The entire cartridge, which contains the needle, can then be disposed of properly.
Another safety feature is that when the cartridge is detached from the hand piece the needle automatically retracts back into the cartridge, preventing an accidental “stick” to the technician, or client.
Needle Groupings
The Nouveau Contour needles are especially designed to achieve the same quality throughout the entire procedure. Even at the end of the procedure, the points of the needles are in the exact position as at the beginning of the procedure. Nouveau Contour guarantees quality every time.
